Super Free
A bearing-supported pinion gear system that holds clutch elements in precise alignment, virtually eliminating friction on the spool shaft during the cast.
VBS® Centrifugal Brake System
Uses centrifugal force to effectively manage spool speed on the cast. Adjust the setting to apply 0 to 6 brakes for best performance in varying conditions.
A-RB® Anti-Rust Bearings
Manufactured via a unique process that makes them at least ten times more corrosion-resistant than standard stainless steel bearings.
High Efficiency Gearing (HEG)
Sized for maximum functionality. For example, extremely large gears in the Curado DHSV deliver a blistering-fast 7:1 gear ratio for unbelievable line pickup, plus extra power for turning that stubborn lunker's head. (Not available on 100/101 models)
Magnumlite® Spool
By using innovative drilling and support construction, the walls can be extremely thin without sacrificing strength. This achieves much lower startup inertia, and requires less braking force -- for more accuracy and manageability on the cast.
Super Stopper® Plus Assist Stopper
A one-way roller bearing provides a solid anti-reverse with no handle or spool backplay, for quick, powerful hooksets. The backup Assist Stopper ratcheting system takes over should the bearing begin to slip due to overlubrication or extreme weather.
